Organizers of Coachella wrote, “Due to major production delays, Solange will unfortunately no longer be performing at this year’s festival. She sends her sincerest apologies, and looks forward to performing at Coachella in the future.” According to TMZ, Solange wasn’t left with an easy decision. Reportedly, multiple members of the singer’s band were fighting off sickness in the days leading up to the festival. And because of the timing, the “Cranes in the Sky” singer was having difficulty finding other people to serve as a replacement. So rather than scrape together a performance, she opted to cancel the show altogether.
Recently she released her album, When I Get Home. This year, Solange would have been joining Weezer, Tame Impala, Kid Cudi, J Balvin, Aphex Twin on stage.
