    Rob49 Talks the Shooting on French Montana Set

    Popular rapper Rob49 from New Orleans is currently recovering from a shooting that occurred during a music video shoot with French Montana last month. The incident left ten people injured, including the rapper and one of his bodyguards.

    A video of the incident shared online showed a number of people lying on the ground bloodied. Miami Gardens Police haven’t confirmed the full number of victims or their conditions, but NBC 6 South Florida reported that the 24-year-old rapper and his bodyguard were among those shot.

    What Happened?

    A shooting outside a Miami Gardens restaurant left at least 10 people injured Thursday night as French Montana, legal name Karim Kharbouch, and his production crew shot a music video. WSVN reports that shots rang out just before 8 p.m.

    According to the news station, an altercation started somewhere else and spilled over into the restaurant. Several victims were transported by police and paramedics to hospitals, with one in critical condition.

    New Orleans rapper Rob49 was also shot, and he remains in the hospital. During the shoot, witnesses told WSVN, people were robbed at gunpoint, then someone sprayed bullets into the crowd.

    A witness, Ced Mogul, recalled hearing more than a dozen gunshots before people started running around chaotically. He said he saw Rob49 sprinting towards him, blood covering his shirt.

    According to witnesses, the shooting occurred during French Montana’s music video shoot outside The Licking, which is owned by DJ Khaled.

    Paramedics and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene, bringing four victims to hospitals. Of those, one was in critical condition.
