RJAE, A New Orleans Artist Making His Way In The Industry

New Orleans Own RJAE Produces Impressive Numbers

RJAE is a rising New Orleans based hip-hop and R&B artist. He’s been climbing his way through the industry for seven years straight. In fact, RJAE has been making music since the tender age of 7 and early on, he based his music off of what parents listened to. He recalls hearing classic hits by Jay-Z, Nas, Lauryn Hill. During his teenage years, he began taking music and poetry more seriously. The “Louisiana” artist’s favorite song is “Zion” He stated that his mother constantly listened to the song when she was pregnant and it stuck with him.

In an effort to maintain his authentic sound, he refrains from listening to a lot of current music. However, he enjoyed Drake’s CLB, and occasionally listens to JAY-Z. To date, several of RJAE’s sensational singles include: “On Everybody”, “Amen” and “Reflections”.

    What Inspires The Music

Produced by Ryan Bear, “Jigga Flow” details his love for being in the city that never sleeps. At the time, he just got signed; he felt cocky and bold. While NYC is second home, it served as the prime location for RJAE to build on his desire to prove himself. Moreover, he lived in Brooklyn for two years and commuted to Manhattan during the day. He worked at a huge Applebee’s in the middle of Manhattan to help fund his passion.

When asked what his greatest fear is, the New Orleans native details not wanting to let his family down. In the back of his mind, he strives to follow through on the advice JID gave him a few years back in a Las Vegas hotel: be consistent and stay out of trouble.

“I have a fear of failing, especially being a middle child with a single mother led household,” RJAE said. “I work hard because I want to put my family on the map.”

RJAE’s hunger to succeed propels him forward. Last week’s “First Time Lovin” release precludes his highly anticipated feature on the “The Never Broke Again Vol. 1” compilation album, set to release November 19th. His forthcoming notable collaborations on the project include features with P Yungin, Quando Rondo, NBA Meechy Baby among other artists. Additionally, he hopes to one day collaborate with his mentor A Boogie wit da Hoodie in the future.
