Rick Ross has announced the release date to his 11th studio album, Richer Than I Ever Been.
Set for a Dec. 10 release date, the MMG boss has previewed his long-awaited album with the lead single, “Outlawz” featuring 21 Savage and Jazmine Sullivan. Produced by AraabMuzik and Fabian Marasciullo, Ross and 21 Savage trade verses while Sullivan soulfully declares they’re “forever outlaws” on the hook. “You hold the gun, I’ll take the wheel / If you say go, you know I will / And though this love has its flaws, we’re forever outlaws,” she sings.
“I feel this is the best album I’ve ever done,” Ross told “The Bakari Sellers Podcast.” “I make progress every day. I feel like some of the stuff I’m saying on this album is going to separate this album from others. A lot of people gonna say, ‘Rozay shouldn’t have did that.’ I think I should. Why not? That’s what the game needs.”
The album’s artwork features a close-up of Ross dressed in cream attire with matching gloves covering his face and a hat. Hip-hop photographer Jonathan Mannion, who has previously shot his album covers for “Trilla” (2008), “Deeper Than Rap” (2009), and Teflon Don (2010), shot the cover for “Richer Than I Ever Been.”
Mannion wrote in an Instagram post of the album cover, “IT’S TOO EASY. They can’t even see you, Rozay. You are in a whole other stratosphere in this moment. Honored to sync up with you for this, our 5th, album campaign.”
