Remember It was a Warm Christmas in 1955

Warmer weather swept through earlier this week, causing an extremely warm Christmas. These bizarre warmer temperatures are causing many to panic and cause global warming and climate change, while others seem less concerned based on history.

In 1955, we experienced this same epidemic with more bizarre temperatures. Christmas Eve in 1955 was much warmer. Three fourths of the country was over 60 degrees while Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas were all over 90 degrees.

Check out Irving Berlin’s 1954 musical “White Christmas”- the story in 1954 was 70 degrees in Vermont on Christmas eve and no snow in sight. Maybe this will help understand the lyrics.

So my point is, yes warmer weather is a red flag, but remember history always repeats itself. With all the talk of global warming and climate change, no need to feel alarmed, weather changes all the time. I guess that’s the beauty of if all. So enjoy your Christmas everyone, even if you have on shorts and a T-shirt.

Merry Christmas!
