Redskins Try New Tactic to Win Trademark Appeal

Washington Redskins

Washington Redskins, who just this year lost it’s federal trademark, which disparages Native Americans, are back in court and utilizing a new tactic. In the hope of convincing the judge to set aside the trademark cancellation, which was a huge public relations blow to the team but did little in the way of exacting any sort of change by owner Dan Snyder, lawyers for the franchise have begun to call out and list other possibly offensive trademarks.

It’s unclear whether the effort will pay off but the Redskins are not alone in their fight, the NFL itself has been a staunch supporter and is bankrolling the effort on behalf of the team.
