R&B’s Queen Of Soul Ari Lennox’s Is Unlucky At Love In “POF”

Artists like Ari Lennox have changed the music industry for the better. More importantly, she’s saved the R&B genre from going extinct. When others claimed the music genre dead and gone, Lennox reminded them that R&B is here to stay.

In a short few years, the singer has cemented herself an active member in the R&B scene, drawing critical-acclaim for her music. Furthermore, she dropped her first record Shea Butter Baby in 2019. Now in 2022, she’s returned to the scene with her latest Age/Sex/Location album.

Currently, the project has raked in nearly 1.5 billion global streams. Additionally, her album contains RIAA gold-certified title tracks like “BMO,” “Whipped Cream” and “Up Late.” Even her hit song “Pressure” debuted on the No. 1 spot on the Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart. Lennox’s music off the album alone has drawn tons of attention from publications like ESSENCE, Noisey, Pitchfork and Billboard. Rolling Stone even stated that Ari Lennox “Needs her flowers right now.” Additionally, she scored a few Grammy nominations, three 2019 Soul Train Awards and two 2020 NAACP Awards. The woman just gets better and better with each new record.

Ari Lennox continues to impress audiences with her music after dropping her latest song “POF” which stands for “Plenty Of Fish in the sea.” Recently, the R&B songstress dropped the music video for the song, which finds Lennox unlucky in love.

    Ari Lennox Searches For Love

On her latest track “POF,” Lennox just can’t seem to find Mr. Right. She hits several roadblocks and goes on a series of dates that end badly. Though, her luck seems to change for the better after she finds a “nice guy.” Furthermore, the music video for “POF” leads directly into her next visual offering for “Hoodie.”

Things are looking up for the songstress and her new man. Moreover, her lover even gifts her with a handmade hoodie at his shop. However, Lennox soon learns that there’s several other women wearing the same exact hoodie during a grocery store run. The music video concludes with Lennox looking up at the store cameras, mouthing “damn, not again.” There may be plenty of fish in the sea, but none of them are any good.

Singer Ari Lennox may be unlucky at love, but she knows how to tell a great love story. When it comes to artistry and power, Lennox commands both our attention and praise. With a voice like Erykah Badu, the R&B songstress brings back 90s R&B with a modern-day twist. Her sensual telling of a scorned lover or a powerful woman who knows just what she wants out of a lover speak to listeners on so many volumes. People definitely shouldn’t sleep on Ari Lennox, as she’s gearing up to become one of the biggest R&B artists of this new generation. Be sure to catch more music by the Grammy nominated-artist.
