If you call yourself a fan of trap music, how can you not know the name Tony Shhnow? Priding on a genuine work ethic, he has released numerous well-rounded projects for the past few years.
He released one of my favorite projects this year, “Reflexions.” It’s something I find myself re-listening to for its insane replay value. In my eyes, he is the Rookie of the Year. He puts everyone on notice, and he’s still developing!
No Longer Underground
Coming off such a fire release, most artists would take it slow and try to ride the moment while it’s still hot. But not Tony, every time I see him, he’s grinding!
Last month, he made his major festival debut with Rolling Loud NYC. It’s crazy how far he’s come, and I’m optimistic it won’t be his last time at the festival!
Returning to his trap roots, Tony dropped a new single titled “Life N Hard Times”. With a title like this, you would think this track is full of despair, but it’s the opposite.
Produced by StoopidXool, his simple yet captivating production allows Tony to make good things happen. If you are familiar with his production, his beats are always knocking and guaranteed to hit!
Not even surprised by the absolute enthusiasm and witty lyricism that he provides. At this point, it’s typical and expected behavior from the soon-to-be star.
No Help Needed
The supporting music video for the song shows Tony still can do no wrong. No actors, no skit, no nothing else, just him. He kept it simple for a reason! It’s not because he didn’t care. It’s more so not to distract from what he’s saying.
The song is about hard times; sometimes, we face our most complex challenges alone. It’s on this I believe the video was trying to focus on the tribulations that Tony faces.
Tony Shhnow has all the makings of a star. Not just in trap music, but he has the potential to take his artistry even further than he can imagine. Many other artists are already starting to bite his sound. So next time he drops, I see him turning the corner with new vibes!
