Pussy Riot’s “Plastic” Is The Perfect Anti-War Anthem

Pussy Riot shines as exemplary Russian citizens of the world in this dire 2022 single “Plastic“! In it, Nadya Tolokonnikova embodies female perfection. She exemplifies the most human way to be blemish free. Nadya is perhaps one of truest heroines of the 21st century as a Russian national who practices freedom of expression more ferociously than most American artists do. Russian punk rockers learning to speak English fluently is cool. Russian punks learning to speak English to collaborate with rappers is super cool.

    World Citizens

Personifying a plastic variety of beauty, the female punk rocker sings sarcastically saccharine lyrics like, “sun shining on my doll house!” Pussy Riot knows how deeply troubling this irony is. Women have so often been seen historically as the emotional-ethos behind entire civilizations! Women are made out to be and are molded by society to prioritize what men want. Artists like Nadya are searching for the questions like, who is a woman really? And, what do men need?

    Women’s Rights

Women rarely have control over what’s socially acceptable regarding their appearance, but Pussy Riot is confident. They relentlessly express who they are. They flaunt their strength, and the crowd loves it! The music video aligns with the theme as well. In fact, it is macabre as hell. ILoveMakonnen even gets hit by a train!

    Free Expression

The Pussy Riot “Plastic” music video also echoes the music group’s previous political movements. The lead singer once served time in Russian prison over her vocals. The instrumentals of this track evoke this. They sound like the technologically melancholy chains of being in prison over singing a song in a church.

What are your thoughts on Pussy Riot’s “Plastic”? Is punk activism the best form of activism? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment!

    1. Well, they are certainly pointing out the obvious, right!?!
It’s so very sad though, that it’s true.
Things/People are so corrupt that the heavens weep.
