Prince Harry is waging a war against Fortnite.
On Wednesday, Prince Harry visited the YMCA, in South Ealing, London, where he addressed the crowd with some parental concerns. The young Prince hasn’t even welcomed his firstborn, with Meghan Markle, but is already expressing his worries about the negative effects Fortnite can have on a child’s early development. During his speech, he describes the game as dangerous.
“A game like Fortnite, for instance, may not be so good for children. Parents have got their hands up, they don’t know what to do about it. It’s like waiting for the damage to be done and kids turning up on your doorsteps and families being broken.”
Harry believes that the only thing gaming promotes is the decline in healthy human interaction– something he suspects will help ruin families, more than it’ll help bring them together. As it turns out, Harry is a huge advocate for mental health. And with his platform, he vows to try and bring awareness. So it should be of no surprise that he’s also revealed himself as not being too fond of social media either. Which is a little strange, considering the fact that he and Markle have just joined Instagram.
Who knows, maybe he intends on using his social media platform, with over 3 million followers, for some sort of good.
