The President-elect Injures Ankle
“Out of an abundance of caution, he will be examined this afternoon by an orthopedist,” said a statement from the Office of the President-elect on Sunday.
Then, Biden was treated at the Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists in Newark, Delaware late Sunday afternoon.
“The van was maneuvered so that reporters and photographers could not see the president elect as he left the motorcade and entered the building,” said a reporter on the scene, according to HuffPo.
Major, the Bidens’ German shepherd, will be the first shelter rescue dog to get the title of “first dog.” The president-elect adopted Major from the Delaware Humane Association.
Is He Fit for President, Health-wise?
In 2019, Biden released his medical records during his campaign run. This followed comments from Trump regarding his health.
Dr. Kevin O’Connor from The George Washington University released the examination and said that Biden was a “healthy, vigorous, 77-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander in Chief,”
Moreover, Biden has had a history of serious health conditions. In the 80s, he had two brain aneurysms in addition to his diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
Biden has been a youthful political figure. He has no major current health concerns to date. The President-elect will fulfill his duties as the pending leader of the free world.
