83-year-old women got ran over by Kate and William’s Escort.
Irene Mayor is in a hospital recovering after a collision accident. Which unfortunately, involved Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s convoy in London.
They took the woman to hospital in a critical condition, Scotland Yard said.
Understandably, the royal couple is very upset after hearing what happened. However, In the midst of traveling, the motorcade ran into the women.
“The woman, in her 80s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a London hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition,” IOPC told The Telegraph.
“We are investigating the circumstances surrounding a collision involving a… police motorcycle… to the Royalty and Specialist Protection Command and a woman pedestrian on Upper Richmond Road, Richmond, south west London at 12:50 p.m. on Monday 17 June,” IOPC said to The Telegraph.
Unfortunately, a witness who saw the accident said;
“his bike hit her and she spun round, off her feet and fell badly on the floor.”
Her daughter Fiona told the paper: “She’s got lots of injuries. They are just keeping her stable at the moment.” A member of William and Kate’s staff visited Fiona on Tuesday.
The collision marks the second time this year a royal family member has crashed to a civilian.
In January, Prince Philip crashed his Land Rover into a Kia. injuring the two women who were in the car with a baby. Above all, he voluntarily gave up his driver’s license.
