Post Malone’s latest album Stoney continues to see success as it has broken the King of Pop’s record for most consecutive weeks in the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart’s top 10 rankings.
As Billboard reports, Stoney has officially racked up its 77th week in the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart’s top 10 which was previously held by Michael Jackson’s Thriller for 34 years straight! Whitney Houston’s self-titled LP comes in at number three with 64 weeks, The Black Eyed Peas’ The End at number four with 63 weeks and Macklemore / Ryan Lewis’ The Heist at number five with 59 weeks.
Initially released in December of 2016, Stoney was supported by stand out hits “White Iverson,” “Rockstar,” and the Quavo-assisted “Congratulations.” So, almost two years later and the self-proclaimed rockstar himself has a lot to be proud of.
Surprising, yes. But worthy of the record, debatable.
