Pip Millett Drops Soulful New Single “Talk About It”

Following her notable debut releases “Make Me Cry” and “Love The things You Do” earlier this year, rising London R&B star Pip Millet releases a brand new offering, “Talk About It”. A pensive, guitar-flecked instrumental masks a quietly powerful, emotive take on contemporary issues. Another thrillingly deep, potent offering from one of the rapidly emerging breakout names of 2018.

Immediately making waves in both the UK and US following her debut with PIGEONS & PLANES, VIPER MAGAZINE, and AFROPUNK amongst significant blog hype, Pip started to pick up viral plays on BBC R1 Xtra, further cementing a voice and sound that seems to be connecting everywhere – including with a certain Jorja Smith.

With producer Luke Gomm on the beat, his breezy instrumental proves a natural fit with Millet’s vocal performance, and the continuing ability of the young star to tackle personal subjects in such a naturally graceful way is sure to continue to generate intrigue.

Speaking on the track, Pip states: “Talk about it was actually written with my boyfriend in mind. It’s yet another song about mental health but I think it’s a very present thing in most people’s lives, and people are finally talking about it. The effect that it has on relationships can be quite major; I know it created distance for us. People also express their own mental health issues in different ways, so there’s never a right way to handle it. I’m hoping that my honesty might bring a bit of comfort to others.”

With a perfect amalgam of pure vocal talent and effortless style even at this early stage, Pip continues to establish herself as one of the year’s brightest new stars.
