Emerging from Philadelphia, rapper Shawn Smith presents his freshest single, “Chain Gang,” accompanied by a compelling music video that exemplifies his knack for weaving intricate narratives and delivering fierce freestyles. The video, skillfully directed by 12vy of the Midnight Collective, sees Smith paying homage to state property while delving into subjects ranging from his admiration for Michelle Obama to posing poignant questions about the delay in Congress passing anti-lynching laws.
