Obdulia Sanchez, the woman who streamed her DUI crash that killed her sister is in trouble again.
At just 20 years old Obdulia Sanchez’s life is headed down a very dangerous path. In 2017 the then 18-year-old made headlines when she crashed her car while streaming it live. Even worse Sanchez not only was intoxicated but had two 14-year-olds in the car with her at the time.
One of the 14-year-olds was Sanchez’s younger sister, Jacqueline Sanchez was ejected from the vehicle and died as a result of the crash. The other teen, Manuela Seja was also ejected as neither teen had on seatbelts, but only suffered a leg injury. Check out the Obdulia Sanchez video below
The elder sister was charged with vehicular manslaughter, DUI and child endangerment.
After being tried and convicted of those charges, Sanchez was sentenced to a six-year and 4-month prison sentence. She served 26 months of that sentence and was released on parole in September of this year. However, her freedom doesn’t seem like it will last that long. NBC NEWS reported that Sanchez was arrested Thursday night in California after a short police chase.
Allegedly the convicted felon was driving a vehicle, something she should not have been doing as a result of her previous crash. Police attempted to stop the vehicle due to vehicle code violations but the driver gave chase. When the vehicle finally did stop a passenger who police only describe as a male, ran from the vehicle and escaped.
A loaded handgun was recovered in the car and Obdulia Sanchez was arrested and now faces weapon and traffic charges. As a parolee, she may also face charges for violating her release terms.
Sanchez’s father believes the only reason she ran was due to fear because she knew she shouldn’t have been driving. Which if true shows that she knew she was wrong and chose to ignore the rules and only cares about getting caught while breaking the rules. Not actually adhering to the rules set for by society, a trait common among career criminals. Hopefully, that’s not true and she turns her life around before it’s too late seeing how young she is.
