No Charges for Officers in Breonna Taylor Murder Case
The Murder of Breonna Taylor is no one’s fault according to the verdict given by a Louisville Grand Jury. No Officers involved in the 26-year old death received charges in relation to her case. One officer is facing 3 charges in relation to shooting into another apartment.
Prior to Wednesday’s verdict, the mayor of Louisville put the city under a state of emergency in preparation for backlash. Maybe he knew that the officers who have been the public enemy for months would walk away with slaps on the wrist.
That public hatred now shifts to Louisville Attorney General Daniel Cameron. In his best attempts to make try to help people understand why the verdict went the way it did, the AG ended up sounding redundant and insensitive at times.
Cameron continues: “The success of our legal system is predicated upon the principle that the accused is innocent until proven guilty, despite passions, opinions and desire for every detail to be known … the rule of law must apply.
Justice must be done.”

Statements like these are the reason why people are preparing to tear the city of Lousiville apart. The circumstances around Breonna Taylor’s death are hard to decipher but the general feeling is she should be alive.
Every protest, demonstration, riot, loot, kneel, all of it was because African Americans want justice. Because Breonna Taylor didn’t get justice in Life or death. Maybe Daniel Cameron didn’t get that memo at the cookout.
