NLE Choppa Make a Shocking Revelation About His Music
Looks like NLE Choppa is taking a lesson from the great Martin Luther King Jr. Recently, the local Memphis rapper, took to Twitter to make a shocking revelation regarding his music. Choppa has decided to make a musical transition and promise to give up rapping about violence. The rapper tweeted the following:
“Ion Rap Bout Violence Nomo. If You Hear It From Me It’s A Old Song. I Wanna Spread Positivity And Wake People Up. I’ll Still Drop Them For Y’all Tho But Just Know I’m On To Better I’m Tryna grow I Got More To Talk about Now.”
It seems NLE Choppa is taking a stand on the future of his music’s direction. Many may know the “Walk Em Down” artist – as he was chosen to be a part of this year’s XXL’s Freshman Class edition alongside rappers; Mulatto, Jack Harlow, Rod wave, Lil Tjay, and more.
This week, NLE Choppa posted a video on TikTok, promoting his new untitled song. The switch up was a breath of fresh air, as the song seemed to encourage love and positivity. This comes on the heels of the rapper making a spiritual, holistic, lifestyle transformation. Last week, NLE Choppa launched a new YouTube channel called, “Awakened Choppa.” On the show, Choppa discusses healthy eating choices and shows off his DIY garden of fruits and vegetables.
As readers may recall, other artists such as Kanye West and Chance the rapper also announced that they would only make Christian music. In 2019, Kanye release his latest album, “Jesus is King.” The album which contained no curse words, was a tribute to his religious journey. Lately, non-secular music is becoming more of a trend.
