Nintendo Switch is it’s fifth year. So, what does Nintendo have to offer this E3 Direct? 8 exclusive top releases drop on Nintendo Switch. So, let’s take a deeper dive into that content. Well, if your heart was set on a new console or Switch upgrade, you will leave disappointed. Apparently, Nintendo will continue with it’s current Switch hardware. Also, disappointing was the absence of Metroid Prime 4 news and a Breath of the Wild Sequel delay.

Still, Nintendo always finds a way to deliver and surprise fans. The Nintendo E3 presentation was done well. The company is aware of what fans want and does well to build anticipation. With some exciting updates and teases, here are 8 exclusive top Releases from Nintendo games that premiered in E3 Nintendo Direct.
Sega’s Super Monkey Ball’s 20th Anniversary
Nintendo featured a highlight reel for Sega’s super monkey ball. While, not an exclusive, Super Monkey Ball from Sega has spent a good amount of time in Nintendo hardware and it was good for Nintendo to highlight the anniversary of a beloved Sega classic on their E3, Nintendo Direct.
As, Super Monkey Ball enters it’s 20th year anniversary, expect new updates and favorites as the release date rolls around. Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania drops October 5, 2021.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel
Patience is a Virtue with Link
Finally, news regarding the most anticipated sequel in the Legend of Zelda series but fans will have to wait a bit longer.
Excitedly, Nintendo E3 teased a sequel trailer sneak peak of what to expect in the new Zelda release. But, it was tagged with a 2022 release date so fans will need to remain patient.
Development is still in progress despite slow progression due to Covid-19 delays, Nintendo is adamant on finishing the game.
Teaser Saved for Last
Nintendo, smartly, left this teaser for last knowing full on that fans are desperate for anything regarding the sequel of the Switch title release. The teaser bodes well for the game and built excitement and anticipation for the future release.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
Nintendo released a new sequel of the crossover franchise, Rabbids. The exciting sequel will be dropping 2022. Additionally, a new character, Rabbid Rosalina joins the cast.
As you play, save the galaxy by teaming up with character favorites: Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, and their friends. Explore planets across the galaxy and discover secrets and quests!

Shin Megami Tensei V
Shim Megami Tensei RPG game starts with an ordinary day for a Tokyo high school student. Then, everything that student knows is turned upside down. Thrown into a mysterious, demon-infested wasteland, the protagonist must recruit powerful demon allies and use newfound abilities to take on the hostile demons intent on destruction in a post-apocalyptic world.
In this game, players fight, recruit, and fuse demons that have taken over modern-day Tokyo. This Switch exclusive launches on November 12.
Metroid Dread
Watch above for Metroid Dread gameplay on Nintendo Treehouse. Follow the new 2D adventures of Samus, an intergalactic bounty hunter (first new 2D Metroid™ story in 19 years).
According to Nintendo, Samus’ story continues after the events of the Metroid™ Fusion game. Take on the role of Samus as she explores planet ZDR to uncover the secrets behind a mysterious transmission received by the Galactic Federation. However, the planet is now infested with dangerous alien creatures and menacing mechanical enemies known as E.M.M.I. These E.M.M.I. relentlessly pursue Samus, adding to the tension as players must evade them to survive and find a way to defeat them.
Abilities
Explore diverse environments and gain unique abilities to navigate through this treacherous world. Overcome obstacles with parkour, maneuver through tight spaces, engage in thrilling combat, and conquer the challenges that await on the planet.
Revisit old places for new discoveries
Do not leave any stone unturned, use your new abilities to revisit old places to discover upgrades, alternate paths, and a way forward.

Amiibo Release
Coinciding with the game release, Nintendo will also release a set of amiibos for Metroid Dread. According to Game Stop, the amiibos released will be a Samus amiibo figure featuring her suit from the Metroid Dread game and an E.M.M.I. amiibo figure. Both are available in a 2-pack set.
How do they work and what new features do they bring? Scan the Samus amiibo for an extra energy tank to increase your health by 100. Additionally, the Samus amiibo can be tapped again to receive health once per day. The E.M.M.I. amiibo grants Samus a Missile+ tank, increasing her missile capacity by 10. Additionally, the E.M.M.I. amiibo can be tapped again to replenish missiles once per day (Game Stop). Metroid Dread drops October 8, 2021.
Mario Party Superstars
The switch game Includes five classic boards from Nintendo 64 Mario Party including Peach’s Birthday Cake and Space Land. There are over 100 mini games from the Mario Party catalog which now support handheld button controls. Now, online play is supported and allows random matches if you can’t play alongside friends. The Mario Party favorite launches October 29th.
Mario Golf: Super Rush
Four new modes will be available to play. First, Standard Golf battle wind and terrain and aim for under par. This mode follows the standard rules of Golf. Second, Speed Golf be the first to get your ball in. Speed golf mode allows players to drive their ball in and then immediately chase after it. But, be quick as others chase down their shots, hoping to finish first. Get yours in first to win. Third, Battle Golf provides obstacles in an arena that you must navigate in additon to playing the game of golf. Finally, Golf Adventure, allows the player to take on challenges and evolve from rookie to pro. Furthermore, additional courses and characters will be added as DLC during it’s release on June 25th.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin
The Monster hunter series is an RPG. During gameplay, players ride monster companions, gather materials to craft useful items that may help in your journey. While, players explore, they can encounter many monsters roaming through the land. However, it is difficult to know which are friendly and which are hostile. So, players must exercise a bit of caution.
Beware Ambushes
Avoid ambushes. But if you find your player needing to defend themselves, you and your monster companion can fight back. To fight, the player alongside their monster companion will have to use weapons and skill during turn based battles to win rewards including upgrades.
Co-Op Play is Available
Co-op play is available for additional quests and battles with friends. Look out for this release soon coming July 9th. However, you can preview a demo version on June 25th and carry over save data to the game upon purchase.
Wario Ware: Get it Together
Control Wario and all the traditional characters return. Play mini games. Co-Op and single player mode available. During these 5 second micro games, players have to complete simple tasks like unplugging a drain, spinning a windmill, tweezing body hair, and dodging pigeon poop. Wario Ware launches September 10th.

Additionally to the 8 Exclusive top Releases, Nintendo Switch will also include some of the popular titles that appear on other consoles and ports that will keep your handheld or docked Switch on all summer and beyond. Alas, here are the following titles that will also be included on Nintendo Switch:
Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods, Just Dance 2022, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 remastered, Strange Brigade, Advance Wars Re-boot Camp, Astria Ascending, Cruis’n Blast, Life is Strange: True Colors, Danganronpa Decadence, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Worms Rumble, and more exciting games.
DLC Drops
The following are DLC, Nintendo will release for existing Nintendo games along with new game releases.
- Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity expansion pass
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC includes Kazuya from Tekken. Nintendo aired a teaser video to start off their direct with a Tekken “crossover” for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Kazuya’s appearance and fighting style is top notch and will be a great addition to Super Smash Bros. Kazuya joins the arena June 28th.
- Fighters Pass DLC for Smash Bros. Ultmate. Nintendo will most likely reveal one more character before the Dec. 31, 2021 deadline to include in the Fighters Pass DLC.
