Nicki Minaj was spotted out in holiday spirit, on Wednesday.
The Chun-Li rapper, who grew up in Queens, made a visit to her old stomping grounds, where she blessed more than 500 families with a Thanksgiving bird. As temperatures are expected to reach record lows for Thanksgiving day, yesterday was no exception. Hundreds of fans stood in the frigid air as they waited for Minaj to arrive.
Upon arriving, she was met with excitement from the crowd. Before passing out the holiday meals, Minaj got comfortable with her fans. She was seen posing for photographs and having conversations. Minaj even made time to speak with Jerry O’Sullivan, Commanding Officer for New York City.
The NYPD shared a picture of the moment on their Twitter account.

Recently, the NYPD helped arrest Tekashi69 on for racketeering and firearm charges. His good friend, Minaj, showed her support for his safe return home. Just last week, the two were supposed to shoot a music video together. The production came to a halt, shortly after gunfire was heard near the location. Following 69’s arrest, his record label decided to postpone the release of his album, Dummy Boy.
After the event, Minaj took to her social media and expressed her love for the community.
