Nia Long Walks Out On Ime Udoka After Cheating Allegations

Relationships take hard work and dedication. However, they can also be a pain in the butt sometimes. For Nia Long and Ime Udoka, the wait for the two to tie the knot was long overdue. The couple were engaged for a total of 13 years, “taking their time” arriving at the wedding venue.

While Nia Long might have been a bride in waiting, her soon-to-be-husband had a wandering eye. Recently, the couple called off the engagement after Ime Udoka confessed to cheating allegations.

Ime Udoka’s Cheating Allegations Cost Him His Job

While some people can’t wait to tie the knot, others never make it to the altar. Marriage and love take time and patience. Unfortunately, for couple Nia Long and Ime Udoka “happily-ever-after” just wasn’t in the cards.

Furthermore, a source from People Magazine revealed that the long-term couple called off their engagement of 13 years after the former Boston Celtics head coach allegedly engaged in an affair with another woman. To make matters worse, the Boston Celtics held a press conference in September to shed light on Udoka’s suspension from the team after he admitted to committing infidelity.

Moreover, Udoka issued a statement to ESPN’s Malika Andrews on the alleged relationship. “I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization, and my family for letting them down. I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team’s decision.” While the former Boston Celtics coach allegedly cheated on his wife, there’s no sense in airing out his dirty laundry to the world.

What Happens In The Family, Stays In The Family

Actress Nia Long certainly wasn’t okay with how her husband’s private affair was made public to the press. In speaking with the Hollywood Reporter, Long noted the insensitivity of the media over her family’s troubles and how the allegations affected her children.

“I think the most heartbreaking thing about all of this was seeing my son’s face when the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public,” she said. At this time, the couple live in separate houses and have agreed to co-parent their children. Clearly,Nia Long needs peace and quiet from the media.
