Former NFL QB Mike Vick has broken the internet with an exciting new project he’s working on going forward, reported Doug Greenberg for Front Office Sports. There’s no doubt that Mike Vick revolutionized the QB position and has impacted the game forever. In 2001, when he entered the NFL his presence was felt immediately. Years later, he’s now behind a documentary series that will explore how Black players have shaped the position over time.
Some familiar faces that many will recognize that are expected to be on the series are Cam Newton, Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson, and Donovan McNabb.
Michael Vick will lead a new, 8-part docuseries on the evolution of the Black quarterback in America, per @variety.
He'll speak to celebrities, coaches and QBs including Patrick Mahomes, Cam Newton, Tony Dungy and Andy Reid.

What Should One Expect on the DocuSeries?
The partners involved with Mike Vick during the production are SMAC Productions and FuboTV. This story is powerful because the history of the sport shows this movement in Black QBs was not planned nor was it prepared for. Many Black QBs were hindered and not given as many opportunities as their White counterparts.
The eight-episode series will be an exploration of the history and future of Black QBs from the first-person point of view. Our tour guide will be the man himself, Vick.
“I’m excited to be a part of this project because as a kid, I just wanted to have a shot at playing in the National Football League. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be the first African American quarterback drafted #1,” Vick said in a statement.
“I was always told that I revolutionized the quarterback position, but I also like to give credit to the ones who I idolized as a kid and who paved the way like Randall Cunningham, Steve McNair, and Donovan McNabb.”
