Syracuse, NY artist Karim Lesgoooya recently released his singles “Put You On” & “Keep That Fire”. Having teamed up with AbuOne Productions and NYC-based engineer DJ Direkt, the tracks really took off with his fans who are now asking for what will soon be The Lesgoooya Mixtape. The mixtape, to be released in 2020, is about putting himself into the rap game as a driven & passionate independent artist. In five years, he sees himself as an accomplished artist who never gave up on his dreams, and this is just the beginning.
Being born in Passaic, NJ, his dad influenced him to become a musician at a young age. He would listen to music with his dad and became influenced by his dads musical tastes. Listening to a wide array of artists and genres, Karim stays grounded by rapping about real-life situations. Embracing the good and the bad, he finds it important to document life events through art. Growing up, he listened to east coast artists like Rakim, Public Enemy, Nas, and DMX; the influence of their music carries over into his as he incorporates some of those classic elements into modern hits in order to appeal to a wider audience.
