Originally from Peoria, IL by day of Dallas Texas, Mz. Tye relocates to the South for a change of scenery in a land of opportunity. Though the R&B and rap recording artist recently arrived on the scene, Mz Tye holds a special part in her becoming since her childhood. Mz. Tye takes her talent to another level as she’s in choir, does talent shows, and she’s an acting veteran. Hailing influences from her family and her church upbringing, she prides herself on being the first generation of recording artists in her family. Just like many other artists before her, Tyriisha makes history. She writes her own music, creating her own individual sound. Her major influences on style and sound reflect the likes of Whitney Houston, Drake, Missy Elliot, Jennifer Hudson, Houston, Tink and Nicki Minaj.
Mz. Tye dedicated years in the making of her project, putting the project together in just a few months. Being a successful musician and artist is where her heart lies.

Who is Mz. Tye?
MT: My name is Mz Tye, M-z. T-y-e. I am a singer, songwriter, rapper, author and model.
Tell us about your artistry
MT: So, my artistry, I feel like it’s very versatile. I guess in an overall stance, you can categorize me in R&B and Hip-Hop. I can sing anything, rap anything and write anything.
Do you have any projects out right now?
MT: I recently released an EP called Rhythm In Me in June of this year, I have singles off there called When I’m Gone and Fly. Also, I have a visual the Fly that is on YouTube and everywhere else at this point.
What’s next for Mz Tye
MT: What’s next for Mz Tye? I’m actually working on a small Christmas Demo to give us some light and love to this holiday season that’s coming up. You know, we’ve been living in this pandemic and all the craziness going on in America. I just want to show a little love.
