Michael Jordan Who? LeBron James Runs Shit Now!

It looks like there’s room at the top after all.

On Wednesday night, LeBron James finally surpassed his idol, Michael Jordan, on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. In an interview with ESPN, James retells what it was like having an idol, such as Jordan, to look up to as a kid.

“For a kid from Akron, Ohio, that needed inspiration and needed some type of positive influence, MJ was that guy for me. I watched him from afar, wanted to be like MJ, wanted to shoot fadeaways like MJ, wanted to stick my tongue out on dunks like MJ, wanted to wear my sneakers like MJ. I wanted kids to look up to me at some point like MJ and it’s just crazy, to be honest. It’s beyond crazy.”

James takes over the fourth spot from MJ. The first three slots are still secured by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, and Kobe Bryant in third.

Following his huge victory, MJ made sure to congratulate LeBron on his huge milestone.

“I want to congratulate LeBron on achieving another great milestone during his amazing career.”

Jordan has had some controversy in the past, but that obviously did not stop him from this end result!
