Michael B. Jordan is set to hit the big screen in the ring as Adonis Johnson for Creed 2… But the Hollywood celeb is feeling skillful. He wants to take it up a notch and test his movie training against an actual professional boxer.
With word being put out through the grapevine, Roy Jones Jr. has accepted his challenge and will take on this year biggest boxing “movie” star in a live match.
“First thing is, you know, I’ve never ducked a fight in my life,” Jones Jr. said. “If Michael B. wants this for real, contact Roy Jones Jr. and we’ll make it happen.”
“Roy Jones, that’s my dude, bro … I feel like I could do my thing a little bit. I could hold my thing, right now, but in his prime, nah,” Jordan said.
Michael B. Jordan knows that Roy Jones Jr. is a seasoned veteran and will give him a proper challenge. Roy Jones Jr. knows that Michael B. Jordan is younger, in better conditioning and has vigor on his side. However, he sticks to his pride.
“I know he can’t beat me still,” Jones said. “No, no, no, I’m not letting you off that easy, I’m going to need five, six rounds at you,” he said.
