Miami’s Ashleysexcape Discloses New Song “Ring Ring” Ft Killval

Fast-rising Miami-based artist Ashleysexcape recently released a new single entitled “Ring Ring” ft. KillVal.

“Ring Ring” is a breakup song that the artist delivers with everything from a solid voice, a dreamy feeling, and lovely retro-scented production. Here, Ashleysexcape makes sure to carve his name on the piece that has the potential to become your new favorite song for breakup songs.

Ashleysexcape had a conversation with us and answered our distinctive 8 Questions. Check it out below.

HYPEFRESH: So tell us, how did it all begin? What encouraged you to start playing and making music?

Ashleysexcape: At 15, I got into trouble on the streets, eventually dropping me out of high school early. I have always loved listening to music but have yet to have the opportunity to make music. Once I found that opportunity to make music and let my creativity take over, music was my “escape” from the streets. I came up with the name “Ashley’s Escape.”

HYPEFRESH: Talk me through your creative process when you write new music.

Ashleysexcape: For me, I have to listen to the beat loudly. I gotta feel the energy of the beat. So, my best way to record is to go in the booth and listen to the beat through the headphones, so nothing distracts me, and start rapping what’s on my mind. Once I get a few good lines, I start writing and building off them.

HYPEFRESH: Can you tell us about your new single, Ring Ring?

Ashleysexcape: Ring Ring is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written. I used to listen to Killval a few years ago and still do to this day. I reached out to him through Instagram, and he was immediately genuine. It’s crazy he influenced some of my music, and now we have a song together.

He told me he liked my music and would do a feature; the rest was history. He isn’t an artist who does a feature and then ghosts you. We talk regularly and support each other’s music and artistry, the type of bond artists, need to make with each other. There’s so much money for all of us to get—no reason to hate and be greedy.

HYPEFRESH: What do you like most about being a music artist?

Ashleysexcape: I love expressing my feelings on a song; others can relate to it. I’ve never thought I’d see the day people would DM me saying, “your music has helped me get through this part of my life” or “your music has inspired me to do this.” It’s like we all live in the same but different parts of the world.

I thought that only happened to the top artists in the game, but people want to relate, and no, they’re not alone in this world. So, when I get messages like that, it pushes me to keep going and never let up because there are people I’m helping and inspiring.

HYPEFRESH: What projects do you have coming up? Can you give us any info on them?

Ashleysexcape: I have a new ” Jealousy ” single that should be released on all platforms by mid to late November. I have a music video for that song ready to drop as well. I also have another song and video I intend to drop before the year ends titled “Find Myself.” I recorded this song last year but have been holding onto it for this moment.

HYPEFRESH: Do you have any advice for our readers trying to enter the game of music?

Ashleysexcape: Honestly, I know it sounds corny, but never give up. Consistency has been the key to my achievements over the past couple of years. So many times, I’ve had people say my music isn’t good enough or I’m not good enough, and if you can push through that hate, you’ll see that there are twice as many people out there that support your music.

Also, expect only some of your friends to help you. The phrase “strangers support you more than your closest friends” is one of the most valuable things I’ve ever heard. There are people across this world that I’ve never even met, let alone had a conversation with, that support me, and then there are people I’ve known for years that I can’t even get to support me. I don’t take it offensively. It drives me to continue to prove them wrong.

HYPEFRESH: How do you solve productivity/scheduling problems and reduce overwhelming situations?

Ashleysexcape: I have to thank my managers, Dave and Fern. We 3 talk daily, and it’s only sometimes about the music. They are always there for me with anything I need, content creation, making new music, planning our subsequent releases, promotion, marketing, etc. They help me organize everything and make sure we hold each other accountable.

I always have things going on in my life, and they’re always there to hear me out and tell me things are gonna work out. They keep me focused and keep my head above water.

We’ve built more than a friendship; they’re basically like the two big brothers I never had. I have so much confidence in us because I know it’s not just them looking at me as a business but them believing in me and showing me that they care outside of the music. I know that they will always be there for me and vice versa.

HYPEFRESH: Name Three things you can’t live without when recording in the studio.

Ashleysexcape: First things first, I need food before I do anything. I’m hungry 24/7, and if I’m about to record for hours, I need to have a good meal or snack during the entire session.

Second, weed is a must. I don’t smoke a lot before I record because I start getting distracted and lose the urge to record, but just a few hits here and there before I record get me in the zone. Now, after I record, we smoke till I can’t keep my head up.

Third, positive energy. I need whoever is in my session to either be just as motivated as I am to make music or be able to encourage me to step it up if I need more motivation. I’m the first to inform them about any bad energy in the room.

When we’re in the studio, we’re focused on success. It’s about what you’re surrounded with that will give you the product you’re looking for. You can’t create a hit song with people in a room talking about their problems, hating on someone else, or anything like that. Save all that for when you go home.
