Celebrities may have an entirely different social status than most of us but that doesn’t mean they don’t like the same things we do. For instance, they have strange talents and favorite hobbies. It’s a well-known fact that rap star Megan Thee Stallion loves Anime shows, but she also binge-watches horror movies, her favorite being Evil Dead. In fact, Megan Thee Stallion loves horror flicks so much that she plans to produce her very own film. She’s already topped the music world, now she’s taking over the film industry. What can’t this girl do?
Megan Thee Stallion Loves Scaring Herself
When she’s not spitting bars, Megan Thee Stallion is scaring the crap out of herself with a horror flick. The 25-year-old further expressed her love for scary movies on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Megan Thee Stallion revealed to the late night host that she loves villains because of their authencity. “I like antiheroes too,” the “Body” rapper told Corden. “Like Venom, it’s like, I’m saving the world but I’m only saving it because I live here too. He’s a hero but he’ll still curse you out, you know?” Additionally, Megan Thee Stallion likes learning about their backstories. “I like to know the story behind the bad guy. Why are you evil?” Many of today’s films are doing away with the hero-saves-the-day trope and exploring darker characters. As Megan Thee Stallion hinted, it’s refreshing to see the complexities of the villain rather just getting a one-sided story.
She’ll Produce Her Own Horror Flick
As a huge fan of the film genre, Megan Thee Stallion has decided to produce her very own horror flick. No details yet on when we can expect its release but so far, we know that she’s working on the screenplay. The rapper revealed to Variety that “the movie will be unlike anything fans have ever seen before.” Megan Thee Stallion has already had her starring film debut on Teyana Taylor’s limited YouTube series Hottieween as a Private Investigator turned vampire detective. There’s no doubt her own horror flick will be just as good, if not better.
