    Mary J Blige’s New Series The Wine Down

    The Wine Down is a star-studded series hosted by Mary J. Blige, “Queen of Hip-Hop Soul.”

    It will air on BET tonight at 10 p.m. The series follows a group of women, who gather to talk about the things that matter most to them. They will share stories, advice, and insights, bringing a fresh take on the unscripted format.

    Originally from the Bronx, New York, Mary J. Blige (born January 11, 1971) has made her mark on the music industry and in the entertainment world by using her voice to reach audiences across generations. She has crafted chart-topping hits and has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, making her one of the most successful and iconic artists of all time.

    She has earned millions through her many collaborations and endorsement deals with brands, including Nike, American Express, Hologic, Chevrolet, Citibank, Burger King, Gap, and Reebok. In addition, she has made appearances in various television commercials, notably featuring in Nike’s Air Jordans and American Express’s heartwarming “We Love You” campaign.

    Hailing from the Bronx, New York, Blige’s musical journey started in Yonkers’ housing projects, recording her rendition of Anita Baker’s “Caught Up in the Rapture” on a karaoke machine. That recording landed her a spot with Andre Harrell’s Uptown Records and led to the release of her debut album, 1992’s What’s the 411?
