Over the weekend, it was reported via The Sun that Mariah Carey split with her management team at Roc Nation after an “explosive meeting” with Jay-Z. Carey herself is dispelling the rumor of a “huge fight” transpiring between the two.
Taking to Twitter on Monday (June 7), the pop diva shared a video clip from her 1999 collaboration with JAY-Z, “Heartbreaker” while denying claims of a fallout. “The only ‘explosive’ situation I’d ever ‘get into’ with Hov is a creative tangent, such as our #1 song ‘Heartbreaker’!!” tweeted Carey before referencing Jay-Z’s “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)” lyric. “To the people who make up these lies I say ‘Poof! –Vamoose, sonofa*****’!”

While reports of a dispute are false, Carey has seemingly parted ways with Roc Nation. She is no longer listed on the company’s website and is said to have already begun “talking to other managers and thinks she has found someone who she feels has full belief in her.” In related news, the “We Belong Together” songstress is reportedly working on a “heavily R&B-influenced album” as well as an accompanying world tour for next year.
