That’s right, several months ago it was reported that MacKenzie Bezos would be divorcing her longtime husband. Allegedly Bezos cheated on his wife with her friend. In the end, it was the wife that had the last laugh. She was with Jeff prior to Amazon officially taking off, and in return would be entitled to a large sum of money. In the end, the two came to an agreement that she would be paid out $37 Billion from the divorce.

Apparently, she is apart of a giving pledge campaign that was initially started back in 2010. For the most part super-wealthy individuals give away more than half their fortune.
“We each come by the gifts we have to offer by an infinite series of influences and lucky breaks we can never fully understand,” MacKenzie Bezos, who finalized her divorce in April and reportedly got a stake in the online shopping giant worth over $35 billion, said in a statement.
“In addition to whatever assets life has nurtured in me, I have a disproportionate amount of money to share,” she added. “My approach to philanthropy will continue to be thoughtful. It will take time and effort and care. But I won’t wait. And I will keep at it until the safe is empty.”
At the moment MacKenzie‘s personal fortune to be estimated around the amount of $36.6 billion. Overall her husband has an estimate of $114 billion, in addition to leading the global ranks of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
