Mac Miller Is Receiving the Mother of All Benefit Concerts

After the untimely passing of Mac Miller, many are still holding back the tears.

As a way to celebrate his life, the Miller’s family and team are throwing a benefit concert in honor of the Swimming rapper. The concert will feature some of his friends and peers like Schoolboy Q, SZA, Miguel, Chance the Rapper, and more.

Miller’s family is overwhelmed with the support they’ve received, since they’ve made the announcement. In a statement, Karen Meyers, Mac’s mother, said, “the support we’ve experienced is evident in this amazing line-up and is a testament to Malcolm’s incredible life.” She adds that, “his Father, brother, and I are beyond thankful to everyone who is working to make this concert happen along with every fan and every friend for continuing to support Malcolm and his vision. He was a caring, loving human with a smile that could light up the sky and a soul that was out to make the world a kinder place and the MMCF will continue to do just that.”

The concert will be held at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, CA on Oct. 31. The tribute concert will help benefit the new Mac Miller Circle Fund–which will give young people in underprivileged communities access to more creative-driven resources. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 1 p.m. EST.

Miller was only 26-years-old at the time of his death. He was found in his Studio City home after an apparent drug overdose. The rapper left his estate to his parents.
