The Mac Miller charity organization is raking in the big bucks.
According to TMZ, Miller’s tribute concert, which was held back in October, brought in an estimated $350,000. Add that to what the foundation is bringing in today, and it’s an estimated $700k in total.
The Mac Miller Circles Fund helps to serve underprivileged children growing up in the Pittsburgh area. By providing different programs and community opportunities, the foundation hopes to expose children to more possibilities in the arts. Therefore, multiple celebrities, friends, and fans of Miller donates to Mac Miller’s charity foundation.
In October, the “Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life” concert had many performers. Artists like SZA, Chance the Rapper, Vince Staples, and Anderson. Paak all helped make the day special, by performing a few songs. Above all, the lost of Mac Miller is sparking genuine awareness and support to depression and drug overdose.
Mac died in 2018, from a drug overdose. TMZ broke the story first. He was only 26-years-old. According to an autopsy report, Miller suffered from “mixed drug toxicity.” Though there were fentanyl and cocaine found in his system, his death was ruled accidental.
After that, tragic death is something that the music world took to heart. Miller’s legacy will continue to live on!
