Unfortunately, the Los Angeles Lakers’ news only gets worst from here. Under the circumstances, the Lakers are taking on the Dallas Mavericks tonight without their two top players. The Lakers are pretty much in a must-win situation to secure the play-in-spot. They must do so within under ten games remaining throughout the regular season. Lakers LeBron James and Anthony Davis are listed doubtful, reported ESPN .
Although James has recently suffered a sprained ankle, Davis has been attending the full live practice for the first time since, Feb. 16. James is prepared to go undergo treatment on his left ankle. He suffered in the latest Lakers loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Sadly, this has been a trend of the Lakers season, thus far.

“We’re at a point now where it’s really about how he responds to that and the level of soreness he has coming out of his first live work,” Vogel said of Davis.
They’ve battled with injuries the whole year and as a coach, it seems frustrating. Just when one thinks the Lakers are gearing up to make a run deep in the playoffs and they know they’re down another man.
“It’s been that type of year,” Vogel said. “It is one of those things that’s out of our control. It’s unfortunate. But we have to lock in, and again like we’ve done all season, we have to shift our identity on the floor with regards to who’s in and who’s out.”
The Los Angeles Lakers’ future
The Los Angeles Lakers are ranked number ten in the Western Conference, per ESPN. They’re holding onto a one-game lead over the San Antonio Spurs for the final spot in the play-in tournament spot.
“We fought like hell in that game. And we’re going to fight like hell tomorrow night,” Vogel said. “The competitive spirit was really high.”
