Lil Nas X Abandoning the Music Industry Forever…

Lil Nas X just made his explosive entrance into the music industry and already he’s thinking about retirement.

Apparently, the money Lil Nas made from his hit single “Old Town Road” must have been that good, because he can afford to take a break. But hopefully not for too long. After spending 19 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100 charts, Lil Nas X can’t just leave his fans hanging.

Well, at least not for that long. He does plan on leaving his fans waiting for more– but temporarily.

Lil Nas X was expected to perform at Twitchcon and Sandbox Music Festival, but he’s bowing out gracefully. He made the announcement on his Twitter account, explaining his sudden decision.

“it’s been a wild last 7 months and im ready to take a little time off. sorry to everyone attending twitchcon or the sandbox music festival, i will not be there. i love u guys and will make it up to you some way.”

Nas makes it clear that his retirement won’t be a permanent decision, but rather a break. As it appears, he needs some R&R after having such a crazy 7 month period of wild success, reports CNN.
