LeBron James Benched for the Rest of the Postseason

With only a few games left in the season, LeBron James is taking time to heal.

After a groin injury that left his game compromised, he’s finally going to take doctor’s advice. According to HotNewHipHop, James will miss the remaining five games of the season. And though fans and James are disappointed, Luke Walton, the Los Angeles Lakers head coach, says that it’s the best decision for the athlete.

“My understanding from the medical staff, they finally said, ‘Look, it’s just not worth it anymore. Let’s make sure you have a healthy summer.’ So that’s the decision that was made, and we’ll move forward without him on the floor for the final six.”

The decision to bench James for the rest of the season came over the weekend. Walton says it’s a necessary move if the player ever wants his left groin to fully recover. As for the rest of the team, Walton believes they’ll make out just fine without their star player.

Thoughts? How do you think LeBron James sitting out the rest of the season will impact the rest of the team? Share your thoughts below.
