If you’re tuned in to this years NBA Finals, instantly you’d assume Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers don’t stand a chance against the Golden State Warriors. How are they going to bounce back from a 0-2 deficit out of 7 games? Game 3 of the championship is tonight, and the question everyone’s asking has to do with a possible comeback for the Cavs.
Phil Jackson and Shaquille O’ Neal were asked this question during an American Express event that both were in attendance for Monday evening.
Phil Jackson thinks it’s possible for a Cleveland comeback. His professional soulution? He believes Lebron James needs to step up his game and perform like Michael Jordan did in 1993 against the Knicks in Game 3 of the Finals. The Bulls (at that time) were in the same exact situation – 0-2 deficit and expected to take a big fat loss to Patrick Ewing and his New York Knicks squad.
“It did something to Michael Jordan,” Jackson said. “You learned something about pulling the cape of Superman. It’s not a good idea. He was a man possessed after that.”
