LeBron James Pays Tribute To Takeoff By Dressing Like Him

In times of death and grief, time can be so cruel. It’s already been a week since Migos rapper Takeoff was murdered outside a Houston bowling alley. Many remain in shock at the devastating news. Some like LeBron James remain in denial and can’t believe that the star has really gone. Nonetheless, the NBA basketball star paid his respects to the Migos rapper. Recently, LeBron James modeled after Takeoff as his tribute to the emcee.

Tributes for Takeoff have been rolling in since last week. More importantly, the funeral for the star took place in downtown Atlanta last Friday. Though, stars like LeBron James have honored the rapper’s memory.

Recently, LeBron James arrived to his Los Angeles Lakers’ home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers dressed in a dark suit, shades, and silver Jesus medallion over his black tie, as an ode to the late rapper. Takeoff worn the same iconic look this past June for Quality Control label CEO’s Pierre “Pee” Thomas’ birthday.

Additionally, the 37-year-old took to his Instagram page to change his profile picture to Takeoff in the suit before his post-game. Later, he posted another side-by-side photo of him and Takeoff rocking the iconic outfit.

“If you know me at all, you’re aware of my deep love for @yrntakeoff. It’s still hard to believe! 😢 Rest in Paradise Rocket Man™️ 🚀!!” James expressed in the captions. Clearly, LeBron James was a die-hard fan of the Migos rapper.

Speaking of being a die-hard fan, LeBron James even foretold of Migos success in the rap industry long before anyone else caught on. Recently, James told reporters that he first started blasting Migos’ music in the locker rooms back in 2010.

Of course, fans corrected the NBA star on his dates by pointing out that Migos didn’t drop their first project Juug Season until 2011. Though, it didn’t seem to matter to James. Either way, he still raved about the rap group. More importantly, he honored their “quietest member” Takeoff.
