Kurupt and Snoop Dogg have maintained their friendships and worked as collaborators for decades. This includes his appearance on Snoop’s debut album Doggystyle. Recently, the legendary rapper praises Snoop for how much he influenced his career. In fact, Snoop inspired him to consider doing a reality television show. Kurupt will star in the show with his wife Lisa Calinanita.
“We’re working on a reality show right now,” Kurupt told HipHopDX. “It will be about me and my wife in the everyday life of Kurupt and LiLi. It’s called LiLi and Gotti.”
Drawing from Snoop’s show, Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood, Kurupt was determined to show the world who he (Ricardo Brown) really is. The rapper mentions several other shows he enjoys, but none led to his desire to pursue reality tv like Snoop.
Snoop and The High Life
Kurupt acknowledges that Snoop changed his perspective on the world around him. In fact, he started taking a light hearted approach to life by tapping into his sense of humor.
“We learned that from Snoop, too,” he said. “Most of us were angry, move out the way, light it up type of n-ggas. Snoop taught us to lighten up the mood and have a good time.”
Recently, Kurupt received one of the highest honors. His hometown of Darby Township, Pennsylvania, named a street after him.
The Pennsylvania native hopes to bring the show to reality tv soon. Be on the lookout for the show that could potentially appear on We tv.
