Kurupt and Snoop Dogg have maintained their friendships and worked as collaborators for decades. This includes his appearance on Snoop’s debut album Doggystyle. Recently, the legendary rapper praises Snoop for how much he influenced his career. In fact, Snoop inspired him to consider doing a reality television show. Kurupt will star in the show with his wife Lisa Calinanita.
“We’re currently developing a reality show,” Kurupt revealed to HipHopDX. “It will follow the daily lives of me and my wife, Kurupt and LiLi. The show is titled ‘LiLi and Gotti’.”
Drawing from Snoop’s show, Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood, Kurupt was determined to show the world who he (Ricardo Brown) really is. The rapper mentions several other shows he enjoys, but none led to his desire to pursue reality tv like Snoop.
Snoop and The High Life
Kurupt acknowledges that Snoop changed his perspective on the world around him. In fact, he started taking a light hearted approach to life by tapping into his sense of humor.
“We also learned that from Snoop,” he said. “Many of us used to be angry and ready to cause trouble. Snoop taught us to relax, have fun, and enjoy the moment.”
Giving Respect
Recently, Kurupt received one of the highest honors. His hometown of Darby Township, Pennsylvania, named a street after him.
