    Rising Belizian Rapper Kosa releases “Off White” Feat. Lil Durk — Debut Major Label Single!

    Today, rising Belizean rapper Kosa has unveiled a brand new track “Off White” featuring Chicago rapper Lil Durk. The track has all the makings of a trap hit but with Kosa’s injection of dulcet melody work amps up the single to be a repeat listen! The video, shot in the neighborhoods of Belize showcases glimpses of Kosa’s upbringing in the Central American country. Signed to Rich Immigrants/Interscope Records, Kosa proves to put his hometown on the map, and more importantly his undeniable star power.

    About Kosa

    When Belizean raised rapper Kosa started out in the music business he didn’t have the money to buy beats, so he learned to make them himself. That DIY approach paid off significantly who’s now also an engineer, producer, and songwriter.

    With increasing recognition for his sing-jay verses on tracks as “Same Energy,” and the platinum-selling “Si Tu Lo Dejas,” (alongside reggaetón singers Bad Bunny, Farruko and veteran Nicky Jam) coupled with his recent signing to Rich Immigrants/Interscope, Kosa’s advances have firmly placed him as one of Belize’s biggest music exports and rap’s newest favorite.

    Kosa’s mother, raised in Long Island, New York, introduced him to hip-hop, which played an important role in shaping his musical direction. He grew up listening to an eclectic selection of Soul II Soul, Slick Rick, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne and more. A jack of all trades, Kosa’s ability to produce and songwriter allowed his hip hop influences to effortlessly blend with the sounds he was group up around like soca, reggae, dancehall and more.

    The result, a hypnotic blend of melodies and production that seamlessly fits into the current musical landscape. At work on his debut major-label album, Kosa insists on staying true to his sonic roots to bring a fresh take to rap and hip hop while inspiring the other artists in the Caribbean and Central America diaspora to embrace their space in the zeitgeist.
