Kodak Black is facing more trouble over a gun application.
The rapper has had a two-count indictment filed against him and was arrested at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, Florida, TMZ has learned. News reports suggest that the reason for the arrest is the result of a few white lies. Apparently, Black failed to provide accurate information on at least two applications in his pursuit to obtain firearms.
Authorities say that the rapper was not honest about one of his criminal cases, which is still pending. Black is currently waiting to learn his fate in the 2016 sexual assault case, involving a teenage girl. However, his attorney Bradford Cohen says, “We need to see the evidence in order to fully evaluate the claims made against him.”
According to the law, if a person is in jeopardy of facing one or more years behind bars, they are not to apply for a firearm. In Black’s case, he’s looking at more than one year behind bars if convicted.
Black was arrested and taken into custody by authorities, just before he hit the stage at Rolling Loud. Authorities state that out of two applications he submitted, he was successful in acquiring one weapon from at least one of the applications.
