Kobe Bryant Writing Porn for Young Adult Books?

We smell the next The Hunger Games series, and it’s coming from an unlikely source.

Kobe Bryant is doing something different with his ball-handling skills. The retired NBA star is entering into the book industry. TMZ says that Kobe Bryant is taking his shot at young adult books.

And so far, he’s already got a couple of ideas that he’s ready to get out there.

First up is “Legacy and the Queen.” And no it isn’t about a basketball player…though, it’s pretty close to it.

It’s actually about a female tennis prodigy who gets roped into saving a magical kingdom.

    Here’s an excerpt

Legacy’s heart raced as she gazed beyond the city wall. The tent where the trials would take place stood with its white peaks, appearing as pure and untouched as meringue on a cake. Legacy knew that’s where she had to triumph, defeating all the province kids to secure her spot at the academy.

His second young adult book idea takes a different route. Rather than follow a young athlete, it follows two characters who form an unlikely friendship, despite their very different lives. It’s called “Epoca: The Tree of Ecof,” and it hits bookshelves just two months after “Legacy and the Queen.” “Legacy and the Queen” comes out in September.

Kobe has a lot going for him following his years after his rule on the court. He and his wife just welcomed baby #4 to their growing family of all girls.

He’s even got his multimedia company, Granity Studios, which is helping him to get these books out.

Mamba is aiming to get both books out within the next 12 months.

It’s worth noting that Kobe doesn’t have experience writing books, someone else will be doing the writing for him. He’s just in charge of coming up with the ideas.
