    Kim Kardashian Launches Shapewear Line and Breaks the Internet

    Kim Kardashian made yet another profit off the backs of her millions of fans.

    Kim Kardashian recently launched her debut shapewear line, and it was an immediate success. Within just minutes of the launch, Kim reportedly scored made more than $1 million dollars in sales.

    That’s unbelievable for someone who has never sold a bra, or panty, or even bandeaus in their life. But if you’re a Kardashian, then you can pretty much get away with doing almost anything you want.

    Kim K could probably sell toothpicks and she’d be the biggest newcomer the dental hygienist industry has ever seen. (Just give her time.)

    The name of the shapewear line is SKIMS. According to the website, it offers women of all body shapes and sizes the opportunity to smooth, sculpt and enhance their physical beauty, with shapewear items like thongs, bralettes, boy shorts, and briefs.

    Previously, the new line had been known as KIMONO. That was until people of the Japanese community pressured Kim into changing the name. They claimed it was offensive to the Japanese traditional garment called the kimono.

    Page Six has the actual number of sales Kim actually after Tuesday’s launch. They report she raked in $2 million within the first few minutes of opening the site. And get this…there was so much traffic that the site actually crashed, causing a delay by at least an hour.

    It’s the biggest opening day anyone in the shapewear and underwear industry has ever seen– even Spanx.

    If you were to visit the site now, there wouldn’t be much inventory left to purchase. People have cleaned Kim’s SKIMS out.
