Kid Cudi fans had a lot to be excited about this Saturday. Cudi released “Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon” in vinyl after this 2014 album was previously only available in a digital format.
Record Store Day “was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1400 independently owned record stores in the US and thousands of similar stores internationally. There are Record Store Day participating stores on every continent except Antarctica. ” via recordstoreday.com
It’s a day to celebrate the unique culture of the record store. From customers, to shop owners, to musicians, everyone gets involved.
Kid Cudi fans went crazy buying “Satelitte Flight” on vinyl today. To prove it, fans tweeted their purchases out to the rapper and he retweeted many of them back.
