It’s hard giving up something that you truly love, and it seems as though Conor Mcgregor just can’t let go.
Days after Conor McGregor announcing his retirement from the sport of Mixed Martial Arts in a live interview, Conor took a shot at one of his final opponents in the octagon, wife. In a posted Twitter photo with Khabib pictured with a person with a sheet over their head, Conner commented :
” Your wife is a towel mate.”
Conner also posted a tweet indicating that Khabib would be afraid of a rematch.
” Don’t be afraid of a rematch you little scurrying rat. You will do as you’re told like you always do.”
With the retirement announcement, along with the latest events, it is safe to say that Conner isn’t really retiring, and is using the retirement as a way to bate Khabib into a rematch.

With the insult, Conor also asked Khabib to accept a rematch in the Octagon. Khabib then swung back with this quote, which was posted in a Youtube video by MMA Focus:
” Conor acts like a jealous wife, who says ” I will leave” all the time, but then comes back.”
So what’s the possibility of a rematch between these two? Well according to Bleacher report UFC President Dana White, a rematch between the two could take place possibly this year, said white to TMZ sports.
“I think a lot of people want to see that fight. Obviously, again, we still haven’t gone before the Nevada State Athletic Commission. That’s got to happen, and when that does, we can figure how this whole thing plays out,”
Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor via submission in the fourth round at UFC 229.
