Key Glock “Grammys” Review: Brown Bags Of Change

Key Glock released his music video for “Grammys” fittingly during festivities for the 2022 Grammys. “Grammys” is the first song on his new album Yellow Tape 2 (Deluxe). The music video plays out like a “mini-movie, Glock reflects on his childhood and trap life in South Memphis through two different stories. Present-day Glock witnesses how both stories of his younger self play out, spitting bars about how his early hardships more than prepared him for his thriving career.”

“Yup, I’m straight out the trap, I figured out how to live lavish.” The music video tells a story of innocence lost before the viewers’ very eyes. “Both stories play out as a present-day Glock roams his old hood, thinking about how his youthful woes prepared him for the spotlight better than any classroom ever could.” “10 sold out dates so far” seem to prove his theory to be accurate.

Glock proved his ability to thrive all on his own following the success of Yellow Tape 2. Thanks to the 20-track project, Glock secured his first solo spot into the Top 10 on the Billboard 200, receiving over 70 million streams on Spotify alone. He achieved this without a major label or feature.

    About Key Glock

Memphis-born rapper Key Glock delivers cold, stark, uncompromising verses about sex, guns, and money.
