Kevin Hart’s Egypt Show Cancelled Over ‘Afrocentric’ comments…

Egypt has a long, tumultuous history. It has been at various points part of the Greek and Roman empires and ruled by the Islamic caliphates. Today, it is an ethnically and religiously diverse country with a population of more than 100 million people.

The nation has a strong sense of national identity and pride. Its national ethos is rooted in the nation’s history. Its modern political system is also based on a strong sense of national unity.

Egyptians take pride in their country’s culture, heritage and traditions. However, they often become irritated when foreigners challenge their cultural values or falsify their history.

    Leave Kevin Alone

Kevin Hart, a comedian and actor from the United States, recently had his show in Egypt canceled after he allegedly made some afrocentric comments about the history of the country. He had reportedly stated that ancient Egyptians were Black, and many people took offense to his statements.

The controversy exploded on social media in Egypt. The hashtag #CancelKevinHartShow trended in Arabic and English on Twitter, and many people took to the platform to share their views on Hart’s comments and the role of Black Africans in ancient Egypt.

Despite the fact that there are plenty of people with Black African ancestry in Egypt, some users expressed anger and disapproval for Hart’s comments. Some said that they were offended by his “Afrocentric” views, while others praised the decision to cancel the show.

Afrocentrism is a movement that advocates examining history through the lens of Black people. It is a reaction to the racism that Black communities have faced for centuries.

It is a theory that asserts that ancient African civilizations had an indelible impact on the development of civilisations around the world. The idea has gained considerable popularity in the last two decades as a response to racial discrimination against Black people in various parts of the world.

In the US, Afrocentrism was popularized by American black activists who were fighting for civil rights. Some of the most renowned African-Americans who supported the movement included Martin Luther King, Jr., Barack Obama and Dr. Louise Brown, among many others.

Afrocentrism argues that African culture originated in ancient Egypt. The movement has drawn criticism from Egyptologists and scholars for its distorting of ancient Egyptian history.

Afrocentrism in Africa… who would’ve thunk it?

As a result, many Egyptians are angry with Afrocentrism. Some argue that it’s a mythical fantasy that is intended to subvert Egyptian heritage, while other scholars and historians believe that there’s not enough evidence to support the claim.

Moreover, Hart’s company, Black Sands Entertainment, has produced a series of comic books that have been criticized for its depiction of ancient Egyptian Pharaohs as having darker skin.

This has led many people to believe that the comics may have been a way to promote the ideas of Afrocentrism. It’s also been a source of controversy for Egyptians because it has been accused of “Blackwashing” ancient Egyptian history.

In fact, a recent conference in Aswan, Egypt, where the idea of Afrocentrism was presented, sparked an outcry in the country. A number of nationalists protested against the idea that Egyptians were a black African people.
