Ye Speaks on Kim & Family
Kanye West has done a lot in his life that he regrets. At times, others find the pieces to fix it. Now, the rapper is doing everything in his power to get back with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
In the time of giving, the 44-year-old rapper who was approved to change his name to Ye last month legally stopped at the LA Mission on Thanksgiving to drop off meals to skid row. Ye took the mic before it was over. Then he shared some words with the crowd. He even had a few things to say about his family.
He has four children: North (8), Saint (5), Chicago (3), and Psalm (2).
During his speech, Ye acknowledged that he’s done things in public that were “not acceptable as a husband,” but believes God will help bring back things with Kim.
God Will Help
“The story God desires is for us to understand that redemption is possible in all our relationships,” he stated. “We have made errors. I have made errors. I have publicly engaged in behaviors that were unacceptable as a husband. However, at this very moment, without prior knowledge of speaking into this microphone, I am present to transform the story.”
The “Flashing Lights” rapper stated he wouldn’t allow “E! News, Hulu, and other networks to continue writing his family’s narrative.” However, The Keeping Up with The Kardashian star filed for divorce with the rapper back in February.
Along with other media outlets, TMZ posted about the rapper, and he was nothing short of posting it on his Instagram story. It shows the rapper kissing Kim, along with the headline, “Kanye West Says God Will Bring Kim and Him Back Together, Inspire Millions.” If that was not already enough, he tagged the “KUWTK” star, and it does not stop there.
“If the enemy can break apart Kimye, many families may believe that separation is acceptable… but when God unites Kimye, it will inspire countless families to see that they can overcome separation,” he concluded.
‘Thanksgiving Prayer’, What Ye is Thankful For
The “Thanksgiving Prayer” video the “Donda” star posted on Instagram had fans surprised. A mix of vocals from Sunday Church Choir and his choice of words made the video come to life. And in this case, West hopes to get the chance to get his family back together.
“All I think about every day is how I get my family back together and how I heal the pain that I’ve caused,” he added. “I am responsible for my actions. Here’s a new term: misactions. What remains consistent in all my achievements and mistakes is me.”
The “Gold Digger” rapper went to acknowledge many of those “misactions” in his life. These include alcohol, becoming Christian, politics, and how his family had to endure “his manic” episodes.
“In 2016, I experienced a manic episode and was prescribed strong medication,” West revealed. “Since then, I have had periods of being on and off the medication, making me vulnerable to other episodes that my wife, family, and fans had to go through.”
The fashion icon referenced his ego in the video. There were times when it got the best of Ye and he hurt his loved ones.
“I know none of you could imagine this, but sometimes I scream. That screaming might have empowered me to prove all the doubters in music wrong, but it didn’t help me maintain a strong family bond,” he reflected.
Will He Walk Away?
As the world continues to see the rap star get back together with Kim, rumors have shown the KKW Beauty star started seeing Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson. It’s not clear when West will stop. But one thing is true: the rapper is thankful for his wife and the family that they created.
