For the Argentinians starved for the next Justin Bieber concert, the wait is over!
As of today, Argentina reversed its ban on the singer. The reversal comes after officials dismissed the assault case he was indicted for back in 2016.
As you might remember, Bieber and his bodyguards were accused of assault back in 2016. The accuser, Diego Pesoa, claims that in 2013 they beat him after he snapped photos of the pop star leaving a nightclub. Though he didn’t face any penalties at the time, his actions caught up with him a few years later when authorities indicted him for the charges. When officials ordered him back to the country for questioning, he said fuck it and never came. This led to a country-wide ban.
According to TMZ, Justin Bieber’s road to redemption was a long one. At first, a trial judge found him guilty. But after several attempted appeals, the Argentinian Supreme Court ruled in his favor and dismissed the conviction entirely. Finally, to make the reversal official, authorities filed a “Document of Resolution” on December 18.
