The energetic duo that gave us a banger of a song to jigg to have finally made a video for the newest dance craze. Detroit teens Zayion McCall and Zay Hilfiger have put a visual to “JuJu On That Beat” (TZ Anthem), the song that landed the two a deal with Atlantic Records.
Not sure if you’ve noticed, but JuJu On That Beat is actually a reworked anthem. Does the flow “Okay we knuckin’ and buckin’ and ready to fight. I got my cousin, he with me and got Lil Zay on the right.” sound familiar? Crime Mob’s Knuck If You Buck, was an anthem in its own right. So these two geniuses revamped it.
The song went viral and added life to the two’s original dance move, “The JuJu.” Social media users, including celebrities, participated in the challenge. Just search “#JuJuOnThatBeat” on Instagram and a string of videos like the two below will pop up.
Singer, Ciara and hubby Russell Wilson even take a stab at it dressed as Hillary Clinton and president Barack Obama.
Every year an artist drops a song that starts a viral movement, it’s safe to say that #JuJuOnThatBeat has won the hashtag battle of 2016.
